June minutes were approved

 

1. RFF process and timeline

  1. Cap per each school
  2. This will be in place of the yearly funds
  3. Discuss the amount were wanted to give
  4. Google doc/paper form
  5. Funds will touch on the most students
  6. Hold a meeting with each school, what will be the best roll out
  7. Can partial fund some programs
  8. 5,000 to each school
  9. Last year was 1,500 to each building
  10. Discussed that principals could apply for 1,000 then decided it would go to the teachers only
  11. If staff decided to apply and use the funds we want to know to promote the programs we fund
  12. Fund spending really depends on the needs of the school
  13. If it is not in the budget from the schools, it usually comes to us first
  14. Final decision was 20,000 for the four schools, 5,000 each
  15. In 2016 funding ran from December 19th-January 17th
  16. We can schedule an RFF zoom
  17. The process to start the RFF process is that Dr. Burnham approves then sends to each school the process, then the email goes out to all staff/principals
  18. School review was one week
  19. Oct. 14th is roll out day target
  20. Forms need to be finalized

2. LEAF update and discussion

  1. Creating a foundation for Lunenburg to raise money for the schools through private and cooperate donor relations
  2. Discussed outlining the lanes that the PTO and the new LEAF foundation can follow to make it work together in the same space
  3. Outlined that the process will be a grant application with a consistent annual timeline
  4. Currently the LEAF foundation is in the idea stage and is working on creating bylaws and becoming a nonprofit
  5. The foundation has the potential to touch more donors
  6. The scope of work is different than the PTO
  7. As the foundation evolves let the PTO know

III. Fundraising

  3. Largest theatre has 127 seats
  4. Might do a zoom to work on logistics
  5. Event date will be Saturday December 21st at 10am

III. Special Someone Dance

  1. School gifts offering for all staff to fill out an app for portion of the 5,000 for each school
  2. Got approval from the superintendent
  3. This week the email will go to all staff with google form
  4. November 18th is the deadline
  5. After it will go to the building principals, send back to Alix by November 26th
  6. Special meeting December 3rd on zoom to attend to present their projects
  7. Tuesday December 10th to let staff know
  8. Most requests will be under 1,200 
  9. Reach the most students
  10. November 4th reminder to principals to encourage staff to apply
